Hooper Mansion

I had the pleasure of previewing the recently gut renovated, historic Hooper Mansion … and WOW! This three exposure building located on Beacon Street accommodates three parlor and garden level duplexes, two floor through condominiums, and a penthouse duplex that is sure to impress even the most modern critic. Residence will truly get to live the life of luxury in this Chateauesque style, concierge building.

Everything from the construction, floor plan, interior finishings, top of the line appliances and of course the incredible views of both the Charles River and Boston skyline are unbeatable. Each unit has an open feel. The tall ceilings and spacious rooms provide grand living spaces that let in gorgeous sunlight. (Let me not forget to mention there are 70 windows throughout the building!) Direct elevator access, outdoor terrace space, and ample parking make city living in this Back Bay mansion that much more desirable.

Of the six units, three are under agreement, meaning three are available for the taking! I would be happy to assist as your buyer agent and set up a viewing appointment with listing broker and good friend Chris Tuite of Pioneer Realty. Schedule viewing or feel free to call 617-833-3376

City of Boston Housing Plan “Housing A Changing City: Boston 2030”

Boston Housing PlanIf you’re curious about the Boston housing market and where it’s headed like I am, then you’ll find this just released City of Boston housing plan fascinating. It outlines strategies for housing an expected 91,000 new Bostonians by the year 2030 when The Hub will be home to more than 700,000 residents, a number not seen since the 1950’s.

Boston 2030 is the City of Boston’s strategy to responsibly plan for that growth. By creating housing across demographics and neighborhoods, the city will help ensure that growth and prosperity reaches every corner of Boston.

The Boston Housing Plan By the Numbers

To accomplish this goal, the City of Boston is going to help create 53,000 new units of housing at a variety of income levels across the city:

  • 44,000 units of housing for the workforce
  • 5,000 units of housing for our senior citizens
  • 4,000 units to stabilize the market and bring rents and housing prices under control

Read the plan to find out how the city will accomplish these goals and to find out how you can help.

#HUBisHome House Party August 24th (Free Event)

#HUBisHome House Party

The 2014 ONEin3 Council is inviting Bostonians to participate in the #HUBisHome House Party on Sunday August 24, 2014, at District Hall in Boston’s Innovation District from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Check it out!

With more than one-third of Boston’s population between the ages of 20-34, Boston is the home to the highest proportion of young adults out of any major city in America. Recognizing the importance of this demographic, the City of Boston launched ONEin3 to connect Boston’s young adult population with resources related to: housing, professional development, financial health, entrepreneurship and civic engagement.

The #HUBisHome afternoon will engage young professionals in Boston about housing issues facing the city in a “house party” style atmosphere. Participants will have an opportunity to delve into the complex aspects of the housing market through interactive maps, house party games, and short pitch style presentations from community experts.

The #HUBisHome House Party is free and open to all. More information and registration is available online. People are encouraged to tweet their favorite Boston pictures using the hashtag #HUBisHome.
